Vasti Karma is a particular treatment method in which drugs are injected into the body via lower channels, most frequently through the anus. It removes the built-up poisons from the entire body. When medications are given through a different channel, such as the urethra or the vagina, the process is known as Uttara vasti. Vasti is often used to alleviate vata dosha, but it can also have tridoshahara characteristics and result in samsodhana or shamana effects. Additionally, it is quite helpful in rejuvenating treatments, particularly during recovery. In the fivefold Panchakarma treatment, vasti karma is regarded as the most crucial step. The term "Vasti" refers to a unique tool used in enemata treatment. It is effective in majority of vata conditions like Parkinson's disease, MND/ALS, multiple sclerosis, paralysis, fibromyalgia, back pain, neck pain, slip disc, sciatica, atrophy, arthritis, rheumatic diseases, neurological diseases, gout, diseases of GIT, splenomegaly, intestinal worms, fistula in ano, fever, psychiatric problems, gynaec problems, infertility etc.
